Danny McLaughlin’s realistic atmospheric paintings have been admired, honored, and collected since his graduation with a fine arts degree from the College of Charleston. A long-term resident of Georgetown, SC, Danny has taught there for many years, as well as for CLASS (Community Learning About Special Subjects) and OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute).
He continues to paint for select galleries and private commissions. Well known for his generosity, Danny has donated scores of original paintings and numerous prints for fundraisers to various charitable organizations, including the American Red Cross, Georgetown County Library, Maritime Museum, Ducks Unlimited, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Tara Hall Home for Boys, and The Friends of Brookgreen Gardens Gala. His work has twice been honored with PICA Awards. His painting “The Great White Way” was added to the permanent collection of the Library of Congress.
