Frankly, I remember painting this long ago, and until recently, I didn't realize that I had painted an abstract hummingbird against a chaotic backdrop. Years later, not a summer passes without me setting out at least one hummingbird feeder in my backyard. Who doesn't love watching them as they fly motionless, and then dart into the feeder for nectar? They are a marvel of God's creation. – Tom Leonardo
